Blasé Day!

It’s one of those blasé kind of days, where everything happens … again! Nothing new really pops up, classes are all the same and the people I see are doing the same things. Yeah, there might be a touch more drama or not but do I really like to get into those things? Not so much. I’m just the kind of person that is always on a natural high and LOVES being on it!

How was your day? Blasé? Fabulous?

What did you do different today?  Help me do something different everyday. =P

P.S. – FALL IS HERE!!!!! The leaves are beautiful. Here’s the view from my window right now…

Using Windows Live Writer…

So, I’m currently using something new to me called “Windows Live Writer”… obviously for Windows. It’s an upgrade apparently and I think I like it so far. From what I can see, so far is that it takes my blog settings and all that jazz and puts it into this program that I can just pull up a new page, that has the same template as the one on my blog, and just blog. I like it! Instead of having to sign in online and then look things up and have to clock on all this mumbo jumbo, this is so much easier. I think I’ll start blogging more now that I have easier access! =D You’ll definitely be hearing more from me!

P.S. – Dusk was BEAUTIFUL today! Here, look… DSC05086

Freakin' amazing weekend!!!

This weekend has got to be the topper of the semester for me (so far). Bright and early Saturday morning I got to working at/around the stadium working USSBA band competition, enjoying ever second around people! Getting in later on at about midnight, I fall dead asleep to be up very few hours later to start a fall wedding show in Towson at the Baltimore-North Sheraton. I cannot explain how amazing this event was! Here are some pictures from it:

It was so amazing. I’m still coming off a high from it. It was just so much fun setting everything up, running around talking to brides, making people smile and people making me smile! It was pretty much a giant mock wedding with 3 parts to a wedding (at least to room I was in), Ceremony side, dance floor then reception. I mainly worked the reception around with all the centerpieces done by Floral Impressions. It was such a great feeling throughout the day.

Afterward, I drove back to school to line up with all my closest friends and colleagues to perform at the Baltimore County Showcase of Bands. I just love my life!

A new home!

I’m just sitting in the Towson Center on campus waiting for warm-up time to come for a marching band competition performance and can’t tell you how happy I am to be where I am today. I have had so many different opportunities. Some things, you stumble a touch and maybe regain your balance and some other things you plug right along as though you’ve done it every day. Moving to Maryland has been a stumble for me. It’s a place where you really have to have all sorts of acquired tastes; literally, from the foods you eat everyday to the way you drive to how you’re day runs. It’s completely different and a total culture shock for me, or it was last January when I moved here. It’s true everywhere when it comes to differences, but I notice a giant difference here. People are faster paced and don’t tend to slow down and enjoy the small things in life (some people). For the most part, the driving completely blows me away and I’ve had to step it up a lot to compete sometimes just to get one lane over on the beltway. It’s kind of sad that everyone always has to be first at everything. On the good side the food is phenomenal. PERIOD! I didn’t know I would ever love crabs or lobster as much as I do today. One giant positive to moving here is joining the Towson University marching band.

I’ve had such a blast. The marching band, specifically the atmosphere and the people, has helped me to stop stumbling all over the place. I do have to thank TJ immensely for getting me over here. It was hard some days to think of leaving the place I called home but this has been wonderful! =D I still love Indiana State University and always will. Now that I’m at Towson, I’m pluggin forward and seeing how far I can go. =D I can’t wait to see what the next several years has in store. Sorry for not writing recently. I’ve been so busy with marching band here at Towson and up in Pennsylvania as well as classes. Thanks though for reading when I do write. It may be gibberish sometime to some people but I do appreciate it. =)

Thank you.
