Another week down

It’s Saturday night and I’m sitting at my desk after swimming with active and prospective members of Kappa Kappa Psi and I’m trying to do some homework. Blogging obviously isn’t homework. Oh well. Sooo, Maruchan Instant Lunch. Does anyone like it? I know I do. To me, it’s a very delicious 9 P.M. snack.

Update on TJ. He has been moved into his dorm on Towson University’s campus for acouple nights now and is adapting to the college life pretty well. He was kind of afraid that he wouldn’t make any friends but he is, which I’m very happy about.

Matt and I are finally all moved in and unpacked in the room. Yeah, it has taken almost a week but with me doing marching band related activites ever day and school stuff and him doing school stuff and OSL obligations, we both didn’t have the time to unpack anything nor arrange and create our living space. But we are happy that we have it now.

So, what kind of wedding would you like to have. What themes? What colors? What kind of decoration and best of all, wha kind of backdrop? A desert, mountains, ocean, beach, snow or maybe even a pig farm? What would you like your wedding to be like? I can’t wait for mine! =)

I’m done blogging for the night. I know its fairly short but leave a comment and tell me what you want your wedding to be like or any other comment relating to the blog. I hope you have a good night.

Believing!

“Seeing is believing; even if some things have to be believed in order to be seen”

I find this quote to really suite me well today. There are many things that have been hard to believe lately. One has been that school has started and classes have begun. Well … here we are at ISU, some of us into our fourth and fifth class and some people just waking up to head to class. There are many things right now that are going to take a liking to that quote.

Moving from that, classes have started and lots of fun and stressful things have begun. This semester will be very rewarding and enjoyable. I know it! I can’t wait till everything gets rolling. This morning I had four classes, MUS 151 (Musicology), MUS 201 (Intro to Music Education), HIST 201 (US to 1877) and EPSY 202 (Psychology of Childhood and Adolescence) and I thoroughly enjoyed everything other than the fact that I already have three essays to write by Friday. My History professor is JUST like Snape from Harry Potter. The low drone, sly remarks and quick comeback when someone does something wrong put the picture of Snape in my head when I sat in my seat. All my other professors so far have been amazing. One of my favorite being my EPSY professor. She’s just so open, hilarious and caring about everything. Classes are going well thus far though. I just came to realize about 20 minutes ago that I’m in 5 ensembles this semester. WOW! I didn’t think I could even do that (mentally). I’m doing University Orchestra, Basketball Band, Marching Band, Symphonic Band/Wind Orchestra and Masterworks. I’m thrilled for this semester!

I’m very excited about TJ starting his move in process today. I just want to say that I’m very proud of him and if you get a chance go onto Facebook or something and congratulate him on heading off to Towson. I’m pretty sure he’d appreciate it. I hope everything is going well for everyone in and out of school who is reading this.

I’m heading out to pick up my Bass and head off to CPFA for band soon. Hope you enjoyed this read. Have a magnificent day.

Last Night in C'ville!

Tonight is my last night in Crawfordsville. Wow has the time flown by this summer. I remember when I was on a plane to be with TJ for almost a whole month for his Graduation, senior week, Prom and other events. Now, I’m done and all packed up once again. One year ago this time, I was packing up for temporary housing for band camp and I was completely petrified of coming to college. Look at me now. I’m all excited and overwhelmed with joy to come back to school and meet new people and see all my friends from last year. This year will be an amazing one both inside and outside school. Things will get rough and feel as though I can’t move on any further but that’s I have friends, family and my wonderful boyfriend for. But seriously, this year has flown by, has it not? It was a lot longer than I’m used to even but I do have to say that this summer was probably one of the best summers I’ve had. From traveling to Maryland by plane and by car, to heading to Kings Island and DCI World Championships with TJ, everything was fabulous!

Well, to touch on tonight. I decided to pack all my room back up into the back of my Explorer for tomorrow morning when I travel down to school. Tomorrow starts the first day of marching band for us council members as well as staff, section leaders, graduate assistants and drum majors. We are able to move into permanent and temporary housing tomorrow morning at 8 A.M. Lucky me, I live in Jones Hall where everyone will be temporarily housed who doesn’t live in the Quads or Jones and I will be able to move right into my permanent housing! Yaay! Other than that though, here is my housing address while at school so just in case you want to send a card or something *coughcough$1,000 or so coughcough*. But no seriously, here it is if you do want to send a letter or something:

I hope your summer went as well as you planned and I hope you got to do everything that you planned to do. Best of wishes for everyone in school. I’ll keep you updated on things. Have a goodnight!

He's gone again!

Yet again, a very beautiful visit with TJ is gone. Last Tuesday TJ arrived at Indianapolis International Airport about 2 hours late due to the weather. If anyone remembers the weather in Indiana last Tuesday, you would remember that huge thunderstorm that we received. TJ was flown to Chicago Airport after not having enough gas to fly around and circle Indy anymore. About an hour later he was in the air flying down to Indy to finally be with me. I didn’t take long for him to get off the plane and down through the exit to see me. We went and picked up his bag then went to Hard Rock CafĂ© to have a later lunch than expected. After lunch, we walked around the mall for a little while to then head on home later that evening. Wednesday we didn’t do much except to head out to my grandmothers place where TJ and grandma got to see each other again. Besides being at grandma’s place, we stayed home and just relaxed to enjoy each other’s company. One of the big days that I was waiting for for quite some time was Thursday. We packed a couple shirts and toiletries, headed to Uncle Smiley’s Restaurant for brunch to then hop on the road to Kings Island. Kings Island was something very memorable with TJ. I’ve never watched fireworks before with a lover. TJ was the first person (love) I have watched fireworks with. Those of you who don’t know, Kings Island has fireworks almost every night as the park is closing. It’s nothing like Disney World but it’s something happy to end your night on.

This past trip that TJ made here was one that was full of a lot of first memories for us. Some of those memories being of how he first met my mother, the first time we went to Kings Island together and even our first hotel room together with our money. After visiting Kings Island Thursday, we just decided that Friday was going to be another loafing day around the house and Crawfordsville. I had already planned on taking to TJ to the Vanity Theatre in downtown Crawfordsville to see “The Wedding Singer.” So, that’s what we did Friday evening. Saturday was relaxing. We went to Indy for the day to walk around the mall and hangout then to head over to Lucas Oil Stadium to watch DCI World Championship Finals! TJ has never been to a DCI show. I’ve always shown him on YouTube and other places different corps’s shows but for him to see it in real life was a treat for both of us. After that nights fun, we woke up Sunday to a church service at First Christian Church in Crawfordsville. There is a program that I used to be involved with called LOGOS. LOGOS takes you ever summer for a week out to Estes Park, Colorado on a retreat in the mountains. It’s one of the most astounding and breathe taking weeks. TJ and I attending Sundays service because the high school students that went this past summer lead the service instead of the elders of the church. I wanted to show TJ what I was also involved with. More relaxing came throughout the day. Monday was another relax day up in Lafayette as well as Tuesday in Indy. Tuesday was also a very depressing day. TJ had to fly back to Maryland. The one thing that hurts the most in a relationship is when your partner is at a point of no return and yet you can still see them. There is a glass window at the exit of the Terminal that we see each other off through. It’s so hard when TJ comes up to the glass and I walk up to the glass to try to touch each other’s fingers together except there is a thin glass wall separating us. Its always hard. But soon, if you caught on from the last blog post, we won’t have to keep this up for too much longer. But, we have to do what we have to do.
I have watched “Confessions of a Shopaholic” about three times now and I just cant get over the line “You want your scarf, I want my hotdog. Cost and worth are very different things.” This is said more towards the beginning of the movie and I love it. That’s it. I just wanted to let that out there. What do you think about “confessions of a Shopaholic” if you have seen it? I think I will rap this one up. Sorry for it being so long but it has been quite some time since I updated anything. Most schools have started, so for those people who are in school, have a wonderful school year and for us who haven’t started yet, good luck! Oh, and sorry for all the grammar and punctuation errors.
