The now

road-795004

Where are we today? Are you where you thought you would have been 3 to 5 years ago? I know I’m not. I’m somewhere completely different, new and wonderful. Even one year ago today, I was receiving my acceptance letter from Towson and couldn’t put it all together that I was really leaving home. It’s been nearly one year now that I’ve been living in Maryland. Wow! It’s been 5 semesters since I graduated. I have come such a long way. I am extremely grateful for everyone who has proved me with a home and a family to build from (TJ, his family, Kappa Kappa Psi & Music Department). I always think to myself when I look out my window in the morning or before bed, “ where would I be right now if I didn’t (insert past action here).” That’s all. I’ve just been thinking that throughout the day.

Look what I found!

Well, look what my mother found back home. She was sifting through files and cleaning things up the other day and sent me this. It’s a clipping of the newspaper in Crawfordsville, Indiana (where I grew up) from March 2007 when I was in High School Musical in High School. The whole article reads (if you wanna know):

”The movie ‘High School Musical’ has been a huge success. There is just something addictive about it. Maybe it’s the songs, the dancing, or the fact that teens can relate to the storyline. Whatever made it so appealing, made it an easy choice for this year’s musical performance at Crawfordsville High School. Jim Kochert directs a cast and crew of over 40 students. They have been rehearsing for weeks with energetic choreography and songs that will keep you singing long after leaving the performance. Assistant director and costume designer, Paula Kochert, has the hard job of finding and fitting all the cheerleading and basketball uniforms needed. Connie Meek also stepped in to assist with the vocalization and harmony of the songs. The cast consists of T.J. Hedrick (Troy Bolton) as the captain of the basketball team and all around good guy, Leah Myhre (Gabriella Montez) a shy, math wiz recently transferred to East High, Haley Harmon (Sharpay) and Trace Cotton (Ryan) are a brother-sister team that have dominated all lead parts in dramas at East High, Jenn Meyer (Taylor) the science club president and Zach Hall (Chad) the best friend and teammate of Troy…”

Then it keeps going on the second little sliver with more cast names. But isn't this just cool that mom sent me this? =)
