Love & Future

I’m sitting here at my desk just pondering a lot of stuff. Stuff relating to everything. From my family to my education would be a great example of stuff. Life is definitely something hard to take a chance on. There are, obviously, many choices that you have to make and with every one of those choices, comes consequences. Most of us want those consequences to be good and not something to harm us or emotionally hurt us. That is definitely true in my case. I have had a lot going on recently, from moving to separation of family. But there isn’t anything any more harmful emotionally than leaving someone that you love. I have chosen not to lose TJ and not to leave him in the dust with our relationship. Take that in which way you want verbally but in my words, I will not leave him behind in my life. I am moving forward with him and his family. "Who can say where the day goes.
Where the road goes. Only time”
– Enya.

I know where my road is going. Where it is going when I arrive, I’m not very sure yet. That, is where the ‘Only time’ part comes in. I honestly can’t wait to continue my journey through life with TJ. We both have asked each other to continue our lives together and we both have accepted that adventure happily. Never have I loved anyone as much as I love TJ who isn’t family. TJ and I have been together for almost two years and want to get closer, physically. In which, that will be happening soon. Where it is that I go, will be up to us but I will continue to keep you updated. Thank you for following me though. =)

Band camps!

Well, this past week was fun and worth the week that I had to available. For those of you who didn’t know, I got my first true teaching experience with students I didn’t know. I went to Seeger High School west of Attica, Indiana and help facilitate Mr. Dan Peo’s marching band. I was kind of hesitant at first because I was worried that something was going to go wrong with me instructionally or that I wasn’t going to be doing what Mr. Peo wanted me to be doing or even the fact that I’m not even qualified enough to be doing what I was doing. I did it though. I now have something to add to my resume that is along the teaching and educating roles as opposed to being a student of someone and being a part of such and such ensemble. Now I was an actual instructor and staff of the ensemble. I want to thank Dan Peo very much for helping me along my way to becoming a better student and instructor. He has helped me very much through more than just the instructor staff and educationally. He has been there for me to talk to and I thank him very much for that. This past week was fun. I became more acquainted with the past Drum Majors of Indiana State as well as Alumni of the ISU marching sycamores and the traditions that have been placed and that still continue. I learned a lot this past week about many things. The good thing is, I get to use those things that I have learned from Mr. Peo’s band camp and other events that have been taking place at Crawfordsville’s marching band camp. Speaking of Crawfordsville, TJ will be coming to Crawfordsville for a week. I’m very excited for him coming here. I have tickets for us to go to DCI: World Championships on the 8th of August so that I can introduce him to what I have done and what I get goose bumps over all the time. I can’t wait for him to get here. I love TJ very much and I’m so happy that we have each other. Its very nice to have someone who you can consider your lover and your best friend all in one. We have our rough times but we also have our absolutely hilarious times together. His family is amazing and very accepting of us as is my family now. Everything is getting better with our life together. I just wanted to update everyone on what has been happening lately. I hope everyone’s summer is going well and hope to see more people around. =)

Late but not late enough.

Since my last entry, it has been several weeks. Its about 11:25 P.M. and I don’t know if I want to sleep or not. This past weekend I went back down to school for a Drum Major Mini Clinic and helped with that. The students that came in to the camp were awesome. I wasn’t expecting way too much out of this past weekend but man was I wrong about everything. I had a blast. From checking students in to the last group picture, it all was so much fun.

Everything else has been going fabulous though. Big news: I have planned a day long road trip to Maryland to be with TJ. I’ve never traveled that far before by myself. I drove all the way to Florida a couple years for Gay Days at Disney but have never gone all alone somewhere like this. The trek will be about 10 to 11 hours. I’ll be pretty zomped when I arrive but it will be worth every second of the ride. This past month long trip to Maryland really taught TJ and I how together we really are and how much we mean to each other. Everything that we have, from the family to friends, we have together. The undying love, the crazy friendship and the radical times we have together has brought us more and more together. I hope everyone is having a lovely summer. The weather since I got back from Maryland has actually been amazing. The temperature has been about 20 degrees below average and I’m loving it. I can’t wait for next week to start. It all will be a blast. The only downfall to next week is that I will be oober busy and wont’ be available other than late at night. Its gonna be fun though. Have a wonderful rest of the summer.
