Day 8. YAY!

Today is my 8th out of 22 or so days in Maryland. This will be a fairly short blog but I just wanted to update anyone on how things are going for those who follow my blogs. I landed in Maryland and went to the Inner Harbor in Downtown Baltimore, Maryland. After having sushi on the harbor, TJ and I went off to a big hill next to the harbor and just sat and enjoyed the scenery. For the past week, TJ and I have been to his Prom and to his Marching Band Banquet so far and still have alot planned. Tomorrow is his Graduation at Towson University and then we're off this Saturday to Ocean City for his senior week. I'll be back in Indiana from the 9th of June through the 18th then I'm back over here in Maryland until the 22nd. During that weekend plus a couple days visit, TJ, some of his friends and myself will be heading to Baltimore I do believe for Pride weekend. That will be alot of fun. As for the fun that I have had thusfar? I've had alot! Last night I came down with a 24 hour bug but it was quite severe. I'm getting alot better relaly quickly but as for now, I'm just relaxing and getting along just well with TJ over here. I hope everyone else is having a good summer vacation and hope everyone is keeping healthy. I'll be updating my blog over the next week or so to keep you updated if you're following me.

Have a beautiful day!

Waiting for the flight!

Well, sitting at the airport has definetly once again brought back very good memories and very bad memories. Good memories of when TJ would get off the plane and come running down the walkway to be snatched up by me and some bad memories of when I have to leave TJ at the checkpoint to watch his plane take off. This trip that I'm about to go on will not only be more of an adventure but an adventure with someone I love. I can't wait to get to Maryland. Its one of the few places I can say that I go to and actually feel like I'm home. Not very many places are like that in my life. I am treated like I'm in heaven when I'm over there. Everyone is so nice to me and my new family is the best. There's a ton of fun that TJ and I have planned for this trip and I'm more than ready to get over there. I'll be over there for his Graduation, Senior Week, Prom, Band Banquets and outtings. I can't wait to be with him again. He always makes me feel like I'm floating on a cloud everytime I'm with him!

Other than the flight and the trip, I'm getting excited for this upcoming marching season as drum major of ISU's marching band. I've made so many new friends while at ISU and have been so many placees that I've never been before. I just wanted to thank all of the friends that I have met this past year and want to thank everyone for being there for me when I needed you. Everyday now, I wake up and am able to really trully be happy for everything and everyone that I have. Life is short and to waste it on the pointless things that one doesn't need or to waste it on the dumb things in life that don't matter. Live your life to its fullest and never tell yourself that you can't. As the father said on Extreme Makeover: Indianapolis "Reach for the moon. If you miss it reach out for a star." That may not be exactly what he said, but its something along those lines. Life is too short to not do the things you have always drempt of doing. I can honestly say that I am doing those things that I have always wanted to do, thanks to TJ, my family, my friends and even the people who aren't to fond of me. Those people keep giving me the motivation to push forward and move on. Thank you everyone!

I still have a good 2 1/2 hours until I even board my plane but until then, live your life to its fullest!

GOOD NEWS....

Well, last night after a long and annoying night of sitting, laying and standing around, the Drum Majors for ISU's Marching Sycamores were selected. Last night not only was long and obnoxious but it was definitely bonding and happy! There were about 9 of us there last night who officially tried out. Out of the 9 audtionees that prepared a piece of music there were 5 selected to go onto the second round. After the hugs and see ya's, we pushed on and was able to finish out the night slightly before midnight. Yes, it was a long night but in the end it most definitely paid off. By no means is this blog a 'bragging' blog. Because getting the Drum Major position in college isn't as 'showy' as it is in high school. It'll be alot more work and I'm down for that but i mainly wanted to say what a GREAT job everyone else did last night and that best of wishes to you next year for auditioning and I hope to see some of the people who auditioned and didn't make it this year to be put up on that podium next year. Everyone worked hard last night and as Doctor Keiser said, "this is a really talented group of people we have." All of us have the ability to do this! =)

But more on today and what has been goin on:

Well, last night after getting in at about midnight, I sat at my desk and got my english project done and started studying a little with Jordan (on facebook chat) for the Music Traditions final this morning. After studying a little, I then went off to bed.. late! I woke up to the sound of my lovely boyfriends voice!!! =) Today is TJ and I's 16 months together! He woke me up bright and early with a smiling chipper voice! I love him soo much. After being woken up, I then showered and looked over some music history junk before taking the dreadful exam to then find out that everything that I studied with Jordan and on my own was completely not worth it because it wasn't even on the exam! Grrrrrrrr... Terry Dean! SOO... I'm here now in the 24 hour lab printing off my english project and getting things ready for the rest of the day!

I hope everyone has a good day! =)
