Hello all!
It has been awhile since I last blogged about things. So, I do believe it is time to catch people up on things!
First off,
Marching Band
We have been scoring higher than we ever have before. This past weekend, we went up against a band known for going to State Finals. We beat them by a mier 4+ points. This past weekend at Twin Lakes competition, there were 4 Class C bands competing against eachother. Western (state finalist), Knox (state finalist), Crawfordsville (regionalist), North Montgomery (class C marching band to return to competing). those are the 4 that were there. As the Color Guard Captains, Kelsey and Tarra along with us Drum Majors, myself and Katy walked out onto the track for the awards ceremony, we figured that we would have been placed 3rd out of the 4 bands. After hearing Westerns name being called for all the caption awards, we figured right away that Western was taking home 1st place. We hadn't heard of Knox being as good this year, yet they being state finalalists, we figured they would take home 2nd place. As Katy and I along with the Captains, waiting for North Montgomery to recieve thier plaque, I turned to Katy and said "We're next...ready?" She turned and looked at me and with a half smile on ".....sure i guess" ... *the announcers voice* "And coming in...in 3rd place............KNOX!!!" Holy CRAP!!!! We did it. We beat a Stat
e Finalist band! We are now, stepping up into new territory. Scores going up every week and hoping that they keep going up keeps us going. The moral seems to be low, but certain people in the band are trying to make up for that, with fun, friendship and happiness. I have to give a compliment to Tim Quigley for doing this. He has boosted moral soo high most times when everything seems to be going STR8 downhill. I thank Tim for that and there are many others, but Tim seems to be the one to always be that one true person that you can count on to make you smile in bad situations like that. Besides band....

Besides band....I have taken to the new life of CRIME....NO, i'm kidding! Hmmm what else to talk about....OH...The play. Our play this year is (unfortunatly) "Alice In Wonderland"I tried out for any part that they wanted me to try out for. They thought that I did especially well with the part of March Hare. I'm "okay" with the part but i really wish that it wasn't up to the Directors step son to make up the decision of the cast or the show that we are doing. I think that totally absurd. (I like that word BTW hehehe...lol).... Well...besides the play! Thank you everyone who has supported the band, Marc & I, and anything else that you can think of that might make some sense.
Well... I just mainly wanted to play catch up with everyone.
Thank you again to everyone.
Thanks,
T.J.
