Schools here ... FINALLY!

Well, school starts Monday. I don’t have my books or any supplies yet but everything is coming through Monday. I’m so ready for everything to happen. I’ve been visiting campus a lot and am starting to love it more and more. I also registered for classes about two weeks ago during TU Cares (Transfer Orientation). Everything is actually a ton easier than ISU but that’s also because I’m in the Spring semester and am not as involved yet here at TU. My Mondays, Wednesday’s and Fridays I have 9 – 12 and then another class at 1 with Symphonic Band following at 5. On Tuesdays and Thursdays I have only one class, luckily at 11! I’m more than likely going to get a job somewhere close. There’s a mall just up the street (literally). Back at ISU everyone used to say the mall was just down the street, no no… it was a couple miles away. This mall is literally up the street. Everything is just a walk away. It’s all as though I’m living in a mini-New York, or so it feels. Everything is going to be fun this semester though.

Well, I haven’t blogged in awhile so I wanted to update some. I hope everyone is doing well. I know ISU started back at school a couple Mondays ago and I wish them all the best this semester.

Thanks for readin.

Arrived!

I’m here now. We pulled into TJs drive at about 2:00 this afternoon and I couldn't have felt anymore at home than I was then. I always love being in Maryland. These past two days traveling with TJ have been a blast. Here are two videos that we recorded while heading over here. One is after we entered Ohio and the other is when we traveled through the Allegany Mountain tunnel off of the Pennsylvania Turnpike. I really enjoyed this trip with TJ. I hope we can have many more adventures like that one.

Hello New Year

I hope everything went well with everyone. In retrospect, this past year went actually really well. This past semester was even better. I went from being just another music department student to doing something with myself and making myself useful. I final was able to pull myself up out of the high school ‘senioritis’ and actually become a true college student this past semester. To be honest, last year as a freshman, I didn't feel too much different in my efforts with grades and other stuff going on in comparison to the high school work ethic I had. With this past semester and seeing the effort of all my friends and everyone around me, I was able to organize and fully realize what higher education learning felt like. I didn't have help from anyone and when I did need help, I asked for it from close friends and people within my fraternity. With being Drum Major, being a part of several organizations including Kappa Kappa Psi, participating in about five music ensembles and just being very active at Indiana State, I needed better organization skills. Those finally arrived this past semester. I ended this semester with the best GPA I have ever had. Better than what I graduated high school with and a lot better than my first year at Indiana State. I hope I can continue everything at Towson. Speaking of Towson, I have my audition for the music department this upcoming Saturday (Jan. 9th). Wish me luck.

I will also be leaving Indiana on Wednesday (Jan. 6th) bright and early in the morning with TJ to head over to Maryland. We aren't going straight through though. We'll be stopping in Pittsburgh, Penn. for the night then the next day we'll head the rest of the way to Maryland.  I can't wait. This is extremely nerve racking but it's going to be so much fun.

Well, I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas Day with family and friends as well as a gorgeous New Years celebration. Thanks for reading.
