Hey there everyone. I hope you’ve enjoyed your week. This week couldn’t go by any slower though. So, with my extra $1,700 that I’m getting back from my loan, I’m going to finally purchase my own, brand new, professional Clarinet. This Friday or Saturday I will be purchasing the Leblanc Bb Cadenza. For some of you non-instrumentalists, this means absolutely nothing to you but to me, this is a BIG deal. For one, I have never owned my own Clarinet. When I first started on Clarinet, my mom was doing the whole ‘rent to own’ process through Paige’s Music Company out of Indiana. Right as I switched over to Bass Clarinet half way through my 6th grade year of middle school, my mom and I decided that I wouldn’t be needing the Bb Clarinet from that point on. Well, several years later, my mother buys me a brand new Bass Clarinet for my birthday my freshman year in high school. I cried and sobbed and all that jazz. Another several years down the road, after my chops are completely comfy with the Bass, I am asked to wing it and audition for Indiana State’s Music Department. I FLIPPED. I hadn’t touched a Clarinet in over 6 years. I had to quickly relearn proper embouchure (mouth placing) and even just the simple grasp of the 
clarinet. I got into the department though, luckily. After a year and a half as a music education student at Indiana State, I’m now here at Towson. I’m just having to sick my feet in the sand and get used to everything. I’m just oober excited that I’m finally purchasing my own Clarinet! I hope you have had a wonderful week so far. Trevor
